Project Title:  Pikmi-pedia

Project Mission and Goals:  To create a Wiki-like organization for a database/glossary of terms and subjects on OAN.  The goal would be to help clarify current issues and impacting situations that affect the enviroment and allow the user to access information clearly using a single page as a guide.

Process, Tools, and Methods:  To use Ocean Acidification as the test subject.

Final Deliverables:  To create a set of mock pages that would include an overview of the subject, history, characteristics, references, further reading, and external links

Hi Monica--I think this is a great start, and a very good topic. I could see you collaborating with one or more others on this, where you would all contribute to the structuring of the wikipedia, and each of you would do a test run on specific topics (like ocean acidification).

I resized your last image so it was smaller and easier to see on the page--that is a very effective and scary series of images....what are the units being measured in ppm?

Thanks Peter...I wondered how to resize that image. I think Pedro and I were thinking about working together, It seems our projects fit nicely together.

Hmm...ppm (it says parts per million)...not sure exactly....i'll get back to you on that.

Hi Monica - One of my projects is looking to produce a manual of simple ways people can remediate these kinds of polluted situations. I foresee our projects having allot of overlap and wonder if we couldn't work with some close proximity or perhaps even together in some larger overarching way.

parts per million are exactly that...it's a ratio, so no matter the units the proportion is the same.
