This is the HTML code to imbed a map into a webpage, which for some reason this format - meaning PBworks - doesn't accept. however an example of how this would work can be seen here.

The following (http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0Al0thtZgB3gYdDFhUlRtM3BTRm11UmhXa3NsOW1Ha0E&hl=en) is a link to the automated spreadsheet which puts in the information for the mapped locations on the live linked .kmz and .kml files. That is to say that when you download these files below and open them in Google Earth, they are pointing to a published webpage with all of the information necessary to produce the map. When someone edits this spreadsheet with new info it automatically publishes that webpage that the map layer (.kml and .kmz) point to. Everytime you open these .kml's and .kmz's they are supposed to refresh and update, but if you ever aren't sure, or want to double check then just right-click on the layer (where it says "linked to" and select refresh.

Click here to see and interact with the latest AFH google Earth Layer. Both files should work fine, so it is whichever file type you prefer or works for you.

A user manual is the next obstacle to tackle. I was hopping to be done with all of that, but it will not be completed before tomorrow. However all of the logistical issues have ben resolved for tomorrows presentation.

Project Mission

The intent of this project is to produce and develop an AFH Google Earth and/or Google Maps category within the already existing interface. This, like other Google Earth categories, will be interactive - the user will be able to turn it on and off, select different mapped projects and information within the categories and mapped on the map, allowing them to easily gather more information and explore their interest.

Project Process

Through the already existing infrastructure and popular user interface of Google Earth, this project team will begin and produce a working Google Earth map section which will allow Google Earth users to be fully up to date on projects around the world being undertaken by the AFH. This team will begin by setting up the basics for this type of map with the assistance as needed from Google, and from there will produce detailed directions/manuals so that all AFH team members around the world can update the map as necessary in real time.

Project Deliverable

The final deliverable for the mapping of AFH is the fully functional and up-to-date Google Earth section within Google Earth. Also an easy to follow guide of how to update information onto the mapping section interface so all AFH members may keep their projects up to date for as long as necessary.

Project Contribution

The mapping of these projects will allow people interested in the AFH to locate their projects and pursuits in a specific area, AFH members and participants to stay up to date, and any curious parties to explore potential AFH participation and events near them. All these linked connections will only make the AFH community feel more closely knit and self aware - uniting teams and bridging gaps.

Digo-- These are all three good topics--and link well with proposals by others. Maybe you should study each of theirs, and then either choose one to team up with, or else give your proposals more detail to show how they would differentiate from or complement the others. Here is my list of suggested parallels:

Project 1 has good relationships to the proposal being made by Brandon and Anthony.
Project 2 connects with Pedro's proposal
Project 3 seems very related to Adam's proposal.

Peter - I am thinking that my proposal for the bio-remediation project within the wiki should be removed from the mind map - just because I am not going to be able to produce anything for that project... I would however love to propose that effort as an OAN project or a Wiki-type project for the AFH to produce. Let me know what you think.

Also do you know if we should be making our own OAN projects for sure yet. If so I would love to get started on that some time either this week or next.
